Keeping our Nation’s Youth Safe through Cyber Education

STEM4US! has a thesis. We can solve the nation’s problems of rising the shortage of cyber workers by training, mentoring, and placing youth and parents in high-paying cyber jobs…now help us prove it!

STEM4US! Plan to Protect Against Cyber Risks and Stop Youth Violence

Our plan focuses on engaging boys early, from ages 11-16 and providing them and their parents training, mentoring and support through afterschool programs and summer camps. For youth who have made mistakes and are jailed, we would offer them 600+ of intensive training, job placement and other needed services in their last 6-12 months of incarceration. This plan seeks to solve our nation's cyber workforce shortage and rising youth violence rates.

STEM4US! Black History Month Cyber Summit

Over 3.4 million workers were needed to fill the world's cybersecurity job openings.  At the same time, the nation is becoming increasingly violent, particularly for youth.  Homicide is the third leading cause of death for young people ages 10-24. Each day, approximately 12 young people are victims of homicide.  Murders and nonfatal physical assaults against youth result in an estimated $18.2 billion annually in combined medical and lost productivity costs alone. STEM4US! hosted a day of conversations about solving the nation’s cyber workforce shortage and the surge in youth violence.  Click below to learn more.
