Theme: Innovation for All: Boosting American Prosperity by Creating a Vibrant Ecosystem of Women, African American, and Hispanic Innovators

Concept: Inspired by the annual South by Southwest Technology Conference and Festival (SXSW), the STEM4US! Tech Festival & Soiree brings together technology executives, government officials, venture capital firms, and other professionals.  Enjoy food, beverages, networking, and some of the hottest technology and innovators in the nation during the 44th Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference.  The conference brings more 10,000+ African-American political leaders nationwide.

Forum onTechnology + Media + Race/Gender = Challenge or Opportunity, How Do We Innovate an End to All Fergusons?: During this event, we will host a panel discussion to highlight the tragic events in Ferguson, MO. We plan to explore how tech, media, and even health science companies can help our nation utilize its racial and gender diversity as a strategic opportunity, versus a latent source of division.  We have invited leaders from the Information Technology Industry Council, Motion Pictures Association of America, and award-winning actress Jada Pinkett-Smith to join in this timely discussion.  Hopefully, this conversation will serve as a spark for a $3 trillion private-industry sponsored fund to remedy the impact of past biases and prevent future Ferguson tragedies.
